Tri-County Schools is a small PreK-12 public school that proudly provides an exemplary education to students in the communities of Halma, Karlstad, Lake Bronson, Strandquist and surrounding areas.  Tri-County School staffs highly-qualified certified teachers in all departments K-12 (as determined by MN Dept of Education). With a student body of just over 200 students, every student enjoys a personalized one-on-one education, a small 9:1 student-to-teacher ratio, a large selection of electives and free college-credit classes, and the ability to participate in a wide variety of athletic, art, and academic extra-curricular activities. Tri-County Schools has been voted one of the top 500 schools in America by Newsweek, a bronze school by US News and World Report and has consistently achieved some of the highest math and reading proficiency scores in the region as determined by the Minnesota Department of Education.  We are a small school with big school opportunities that strives to enhance each student to their fullest potential!

Head Starts runs Monday through Thursday throughout the academic school year with an AM and PM section held in Tri-County Schools. Teaching team consists of Crystal Peterson (Head Start Teacher), Kalli Peterson (Kindergarten Teacher), Erin Blazejewski (Paraprofesssional).
